Holly Cottage has two double bedrooms, a sunny conservatory, private patio garden and wood burning stove. There is a double sofabed in the living room for occasional use. The Retreat is ideal for two. The living room has a well-equipped kitchen at one end. The double bedroom is upstairs. A sofabed is available also for occasional use. There is a sitting-out garden area and off-road parking. LED TV, DVD, hi-fi & WiFi. Maps & guides.

Oil central heating. Clothes washing machines. Modern electric kitchens. Environmentally friendly, with special water filters and occasional garden produce.

The situation is idyllic. Each is on opposite sides of a large organic garden, overlooking a burbling stream with a medieval packhorse bridge, with views over fields, woods and hills.

These are both 4-star quality rated, on the south edge of the quiet conservation village of Wellow, only 5 miles south from the centre of Bath.

Wellow has good pub grub and village shop, a children's playground and a lovely 14th century church. Stoney Littleton, the famed 5,000 year old long barrow, is only a mile's walk.

Easy access to Longleat, the Cheddar caves, Wells and Glastonbury. Lovely National Trust gardens and homes to visit. On the Colliers Way national cycleway – level ride by the Kennet & Avon canal to Bradford on Avon. Local riding stables for bridleway rides & ponies for children. Great walking paths by wood and stream.

Holly Cottage has a normal Saturday changeover; the weekly rates range from £295 to £515. Short breaks are available, particularly off-season.
